About

My name is Jasmine Ducker and I am an experienced and enthusiastic woodwind teacher living in Fleet, Hampshire. I attended the University of Surrey to read Music from 2004-2007; while at University I studied flute performance (including alternative techniques!) under Ian Clarke and recently have been taking lessons with Susan Milan. In 2010 I gained a DipABRSM diploma in flute performance and am currently studying towards the LRSM performance diploma.

I am currently a member of the Junction 4 Big Band playing alto saxophone and I also play in the Surrey Police Band. I have also played in the orchestra pit in local shows such as Thoroughly Modern Millie and Oliver.

I attended the Woodwind course at Merton College (part of South Thames College) in 2011 having always been interested in the mechanics of woodwind instruments. Here I learned how to service and overhaul woodwind instruments and diagnose faults. Since May 2014 I have been working with Kate Gurl (formerly of Boosey & Hawkes) to further my knowledge of repair and to gain more experience in the field.
